Dennis Kucinich
Let’s face it; the past 7 years have not been very pleasant with the cowboy in the office. Our economy isn't the best it could be, our dollar is declining every day, and gas costs me more than my cable bill every month. Times are just crazy.
The other day was reading the news online and saw that someone finally had the guts to step up to the plate and speak their mind on a subject matter that I feel has been dragging this country to its knees now for far too long.
With that said I would like to thank Dennis Kucinich for finally stepping up to the plate on June 9th 2008 and saying the words that I think have been on the tips of a lot of peoples tongues for some time now. Many consider this act far too late to happen, but in my opinion I feel it’s never too little or too late.
Kucinich gave notice of his intention to introduce 35 articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush on the floor of the House of Representatives. Calling it "a sworn duty" of Congress to act, Robert Wexler co-sponsored and signed on June 10, 2008, Kucinich's Articles of impeachment for George Bush, and stated: "President Bush deliberately created a massive propaganda campaign to sell the war in Iraq to the American people and the charges detailed in this impeachment resolution indicate an unprecedented abuse of executive power."
We have been dragged into a "war" against "terrorism" to protect this country. Don't get me wrong, I am in full support for our troops, and it’s not that I hate America. I love America. I love everything that it has to offer, but it has gone on too long.
